U.S. Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s (MEU) Maritime Special Purpose Force, clear a room while conducting a simulated raid during Composite Training Unit Exercise (C2X), at Alexandria, Alabama on May 23, 2023. A raid is a mission requiring a small force to swiftly penetrate hostile territory to secure information, confuse the enemy, or to destroy their installations, and ends with a planned withdrawal upon completion of the mission. C2X is the last exercise in the pre-deployment training program for the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Nayelly Nieves-Nieves)
