A U.S. Marine Corps High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) stages on an airfield while conducting a HIMARS Rapid Infiltration (HI-RAIN) demonstration during Composite Training Unit Exercise (C2X), at Avon Park, Florida on May 30, 2023. A HI-RAIN is a quick and complex operation that enables friendly forces to land the long range, precision strike capability on the ground and expediently destroy a threat, allowing follow-on forces to conduct landing operations. Expeditionary Operations Training Group organized C2X as the last exercise in the pre-deployment training program for the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
