U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Clifford Johnson, a squad leader with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 23D Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, observes Range 410 during Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-23 at Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, California, June 10, 2023. Range 400 is used to conduct company-level live-fire training in a deliberate assault against prepared defensive positions. As the Marine Corps Reserve’s premier annual training event, ITX provides opportunities to mobilize geographically dispersed forces for a deployment; increase combat readiness and lethality; and exercise MAGTF command and control of battalions and squadrons across the full spectrum of warfare.
