Members of Indiana Task Force 1 (IN–TF1) create tools to help with search and extraction procedures with Indiana Guardsmen from 81st Troop Command’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Response Force Package (CERFP) during Homeland Defender at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Indiana, June 9, 2023. IN-TF1 is one of the 28 highly trained Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency sponsored Urban Search and Rescue teams in the United States. CERFP is comprised of five operational established elements within the National Guard that include search and extraction, mass decontamination, medical, fatalities recovery, and command and control.
