The Huey helicopter conducted a flyover during the redesignation ceremony to honor retired Lt. Gen. Hal Moore and pay tribute to the past as it was the helicopter then-Lt. Col. Moore and his troopers of the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, rode into battle during the Vietnam War.
