An Alaska Air National Guard C-17 Globemaster III from the 144th Airlift Squadron, 176th Wing, arrives in Nome, Alaska, June 12, as part of exercise ORCA 2023. The aircraft deployed members of the Alaska National Guard’s 103rd Weapons of Mass Destruction - Civil Support Team with their emergency response reconnaissance vehicle to respond to a simulated incident. The biennial exercise is part of the 103rd WMD-CST’s routine training schedule, designed to maintain readiness, validate response procedures, and collaborate with community first response agencies across the state.
