230613-N-LK647-1661 NORTH SEA (June 13, 2023) A Sailor assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 6 is raised from the flight deck of the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60) using a rescue strop as the unit conducts a Helicopter Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (HVBSS) drill, June 13, 2023. Normandy is part of the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group and is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied, and partner interests.
