Missouri National Guard Leadership rode along with military reenactors through Jefferson City to kick off Museum of Missouri Military History’s open house weekend on May 19, 2023. Jeeps and vehicles ranging from 1942 to 1947 hit the road with (retired Command Sgt. Maj.) Jim Schulte’s 1979’s Chevy pickup called the “Minuteman,” leading the way. The “Minuteman,” memorializes the nine guardsmen who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the wars of Iraq and Afghanistan since 2006 (Photos by U.S. Army Sgt. Rose Di Trolio).
