Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Sheralyn Christian mans the rails aboard the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) as it pulls into its homeport in San Diego after completing Pacific Partnership 2012 Sept. 14. Mercy left San Diego May 3 for PP12 and provided humanitarian and civic assistance to the countries of Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia. Now in its seventh year, Pacific Partnership is an annual U.S. Pacific Fleet humanitarian and civic assistance mission U.S. military, host and partner nations, non-governmental organizations and international agencies designed to build stronger relationships and disaster response capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region.
