One of two replacement staircases installed outside Building 307, Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada. Officials from Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) public works department and the base safety office were awarded Mishap Prevention and Hazard Abatement (MPHA) program funds to replace two outdoor staircases due to severe rust deterioration. The CNO-funded MPHA program has a $6 million annual budget for critical hazard abatement and prevention projects. The program is managed by NAVFAC through the Enterprise Safety Application Management System (ESAMS) system. For program guidelines and requirements, refer to OPNAVINST 5100.23 Chapter 12.
