A tribal elder from the Cherokee Nation demonstrates how to play a game of marbles to Airmen of the 127th Civil Engineer Squadron at the Cherokee Heritage Center in Park Hill, Oklahoma, June 22, 2023. The Airmen visited the center after spending two weeks working on the Cherokee Veterans Housing Initiative in the Cherokee Nation, near Tahlequah, Oklahoma. U.S. military construction units are working with the Cherokee Nation to build houses for veterans who are members of the tribe. The military units provide the labor in order to train in their military specialties and the tribe provides the materials. The visit gave the Airmen a chance to learn about the culture and history of the Cherokee Nation. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Master Sgt. Dan Heaton)
