On June 24, 2023, personnel from U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) and the Canadian Armed Forces provided counter improvised explosive devices (C-IED) training to Indian Armed Forces personnel participating in Exercise Khaan Quest 2023 at the Five Hills Training Area in Mongolia.
The training involved using metal detectors to detect IEDs and their components, conducting site security/control, and incorporating C-IED measures into dismounted and mounted operations.
KQ23 provides U.S., Mongolian, and other military forces the opportunity to work side-by-side with regional partners, encouraging a beneficial exchange of tactics, techniques, and procedures.
