U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Ryan Sabin, a scout sniper with Battalion Landing Team 2/1, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, fires an M110 semi-automatic sniper system during an aerial sniper live-fire exercise in the Coral Sea, June 22, 2023. The aerial sniper life fire exercise helped scout snipers become more proficient in engaging moving targets from an UH-1Y Venom. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
