The third Security Implications of Climate Change (SICC III) symposium was held from 26-28 June, 2023 in Gaborone, Botswana. The symposium, sponsored by U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM), the Botswana Defence Force (BDF), and the U.S. Institute for Peace (USIP), brought together leaders and representatives from over 36 countries to convene and discuss collaborative efforts to address climate-related challenges across the African continent.
