Alaska Army National Guard Sgt.1st Class Addison Valentine, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 38th Troop Command, shares a 20th Anniversary Alaska-Mongolia state partnership patch with Mongolian Armed Forces, Unit 256 Shooting Range Officer, Capt. Bat-Erdene ch, during exercise Khaan Quest 23 at the Five Hills Training Area, Mongolia, June 27. Alaska and Mongolia were partnered in 2003 under the National Guard’s State Partnership Program. More than 1,500 Alaska Air and Army Guardsmen have traveled to Mongolia for training and exercises in support of Mongolia’s peacekeepers and first responders.
