On Nov. 23, Vice Adm. Rinaldo Veri, Commander Maritime Command Naples, presided over the operational handover of command of the Standing NATO Maritime Force 2 from Rear Adm. Thorsten Kahler to Rear Adm. Antonio Natale of the Italian navy. The ceremony was held in the naval base of Taranto, Italy, aboard the new SNMG2 Flagship ITS San Marco.
