Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrical) 3rd Class Chris C. Edwards, from Burgaw, N.C., assembles a fire hose during a rescue and assistance drill aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81). The drill prepares sailors to give assistance to another vessel with an emergency damage control mission, such as an engine room fire. Winston S. Churchill is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
