230625-N-UQ924-1588 ATLANTIC OCEAN (June 25, 2023) U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician 1st Class Adam Fraser and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician 2nd Class Jake Eastman, assigned to Carrier Strike Group TWO, speak with Italian marines assigned to the Carlo Bergamini-class frigate ITS Virginio Fasan (F 591) during a visit, board, search, and seizure exercise June 25, 2023. Fasan is training with the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, which is underway in the Atlantic Ocean participating in the Carrier Strike Group Four Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is an intense, multi-week exercise designed to fully integrate a carrier strike group as a cohesive, multi-mission fighting force and to test their ability to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
