U.S. Air Force Col. Russ Cook, outgoing 23rd Wing commander, renders his final salute during a change of command ceremony at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, June 6, 2023. The 23rd Wing provides Combat Search and Rescue and personnel recovery capabilities by employing HC-10J Combat King IIs, HH-60W Jolly Green IIs, and A-10C Thunderbolt II aircraft. An appointed Airmen or flight will salute the outgoing commander and incoming commander at a change of command ceremony to represent the men and women from the respective wing, group or squadron.
