National Best Warrior Competition competitors, Spc. Bret Williams, a carpentry and masonry specialist assigned to the West Virginia Army National Guard, and Staff Sgt. Daniel Abbott, a horizontal construction engineer assigned to the Virginia Army National Guard, representing Region II, visited the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center during their cultural day before the opening of the competition in Girdwood, Alaska on July 8, 2023. The Army National Guard is an active supporter in the ongoing efforts of wildlife conservation, working to preserve natural habitats, provide support to nonprofit organizations, and educate the community.
