A fisherman aboard a fishing vessel, VICTORIA G, sustains a serious head injury more than 750 miles off the coast of Costa Rica early morning, July 7, 2023. U.S. Air Force Pararescuemen from the 129th Rescue Wing, California Air National Guard, jumped from an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft July 8, 2023, to reach the patient and provide medical assistance. The pararescuemen parachuted with medical supplies and equipment from a U.S. Air National Guard HC-130J Combat King II aircraft to reach the vessel and provide medical assistance to the patient.
