U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Brenton Allwood, 819th Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineer (RED HORSE) Squadron pavements and equipment supervisor, based out of Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont., smooths freshly placed concrete for a training runway June 26, 2023 at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. RED HORSE teams from both Malmstrom AFB and Hurlburt Field, Fla., constructed the first phase of a regional training site build-up effort that in the coming years will have the capability to encamp up to 750 troops for unit-led expeditionary training.
