U.S. Marines with 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, secure vehicles during a Strategic Mobility Exercise at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, July 7, 2023. Approximately 400,000 pounds of equipment and 100 passengers were loaded onto five C-17 Globemaster IIIs assigned to 21 AS, 60th AMW, and transported to the Philippines in support of Marine Aviation Support Activity 23. MASA 23 aims to enhance the capabilities of the Philippine Marine Corps, Philippine Navy, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, Philippine Air Force, and Philippine Naval Air Wing through bilateral engagements and training.
