NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (July 12th, 2023) Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bulkeley (DDG 84), forward deployed to Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota, Spain, rest during a shipboard firefighting exercise July 12, 2023. As the "Gateway to the Mediterranean,” NAVSTA Rota provides U.S., NATO and allied forces a strategic hub for operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
