Capt. Peter DiGiorgio, on March 2, holds a cyclic yoke assembly, a component of the Kiowa's flight assembly that supports the cyclic controls. This piece still has the mark where a 7.62 mm round struck a supporting bolt on his helicopter, Jan. 30, nearly severing the controls from the aircraft.
