Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. James C. McConville, Senior Warrant Officer Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Army Chief Warrant Officer 5 Yolondria Dixon-Carter, and Warrant Officer Allen W. Hennaman participate in a cake-cutting ceremony in honor of the 105th U.S. Army Warrant Officer Cohort Birthday celebration at the Pentagon’s center courtyard in Arlington, Virginia, July 11, 2023. The official birthday of the Army Warrant Officer Cohort is July 9, 1918, when an Act of Congress established the Army Mine Planter Service as part of the Coastal Artillery Corps as a technical expert and leader in support of mine planting operations. Today, the Army Warrant Officer Cohort serves in 17 branches, over 40 specialties across all three components (Active, Guard, Reserve), and five different ranks. (U.S. Army photo by Bernardo Fuller)
