SAN DIEGO, California (June 30, 2023) Sailors assigned to the “Firehawks” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 85 return from the squadron's last flight with a flag representing Helicopter Attack (Light) Squadron [HA(L)] 3 prior to HSC-85's deactivation ceremony at Naval Air Station North Island. HA(L)-3 was the Navy's first squadron dedicated to Naval Special Warfare (NSW) operations, and Navy Reserve squadron HSC-85 is the Navy’s last NSW-dedicated squadron.
