For the first time in history, the Royal Australian Air Force Townsville ramp hosted six U.S. Air Force aircraft all operating in and around the Indo-Pacific region in support of Allied and partner nations and international training activities, on July 11, 2023. The four C-17 Globemasters operating out of Townsville, Australia, were joined by a KC-46 Pegasus and a C-5 Galaxy, showing the capabilities of the integrated air force team at the airfield.
