Lt. Col. Richard Neissl, commander of the 6th Royal Australian Regiment, addresses military members from Japan, Tonga, New Zealand, and the United States during a barbecue his unit hosted at Lavarack Barracks, Australia, July 14, 2023. The Brisbane-based unit recently completed a warfighter exercise and is preparing to participate in exercise Talisman Sabre 23.
Talisman Sabre is a large-scale, bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States, which strengthens relationships and interoperability among key allies and enhances our collective capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns. This will be the tenth iteration of the exercise. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Jason Greaves)
