230720-N-FQ639-1067 INDIAN OCEAN (July 20, 2023) Aircrew Survival Equipmentman 2nd Class Chase Van Zee, from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, assigned to the Saberhawks of Strike Fighter Squadron (HSM) 77, inspects a Gentex HGU-56 helmet during a 90-day inspection aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), in the Indian Ocean, July 20, 2023. HSM 77’s missions include surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare and a variety of support roles for Ronald Reagan and Carrier Strike Group 5.
