Kirt Stallings, NASA ER-2 pilot with the Armstrong Flight Research Center, prepares to fly an ER-2 at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, July 20, 2023. Stallings is a retired U.S. Air Force colonel and previously piloted the U-2S Dragon Lady, an aircraft with similar capabilities to the ER-2.
