Construction has started at the Michigan Army National Guard Saginaw Armory, in Saginaw, Mich. On Friday, July 20, 2023, federal, state, and local representative, along with members of the Mich. Army National Guard, participated in a groundbreaking ceremony at the Armory. The $4.2M project reinforces the National Guard’s commitment to the ongoing modernization of armories across Michigan. The Saginaw Armory facility updates benefit both men and women of the Mich. Army National Guard. However, the addition of bathrooms, showers, and lactation rooms for women within the armories continues to reinforce the Army’s commitment to women service members.
