U.S. Marines with the command element, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and German leadership with the 5th Platoon, German Coastal Operations Sea Battalion observe a map during a rehearsal of concept drill as part of Talisman Sabre 2023 aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), June 22, 2023. TS23 provides the 31st MEU with the opportunity to improve seamless integration with our partners and allies. TS23 is the largest bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening relationships and interoperability among key allies and enhancing our collective capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns.
