On July 20, 2023, the Texas National Guard Joint Counterdrug Task Force Drug Demand Reduction Outreach partnered with Action For Healthy Kids Smoke-Free Project to present to the City of El Paso’s Department of Public Health team. The presentation shared the latest updates and statistics on the use of nicotine and THC through vaping among young people, as well as the growing concern surrounding fentanyl. The presentation highlighted available resources and drug prevention efforts, including the Dead On Arrival curriculum, which is accessible to the community.
