A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 163 (Reinforced), Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, is refueled by a KC-130J Super Hercules during an Air Delivered Ground Refueling (ADGR) and a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) Rapid Infiltration (HIRAIN) exercise at Antonio Bautista Air Base in support of Marine Aviation Support Activity (MASA) 23 events in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines, July 16, 2023. HIRAIN exercises demonstrate I Marine Expeditionary Force’s (MEF) ability to rapidly deploy the M142 HIMARS to meet and deter adversarial threats, while ADGR exercises enhance I MEF sustainability in remote areas to continue operations by exchanging fuel from one aircraft to another.
