A U.S. Marine with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) (MEU(SOC)), conducts a battle-sight zero (BZO) during a range aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), Atlantic Ocean, July 27, 2023. A BZO is the sight settings placed on your rifle for combat to enable engagement of point targets from 0-300 yards/meters in a no wind condition. The 26th MEU(SOC), embarked with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, continues to maximize training opportunities across the Marine Air-Ground Task Force while on a scheduled deployment as the Tri-Geographic Combatant Command Crisis Response Force within the Fifth and Sixth Fleet’s area of responsibility.
