GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - Cmdr. Jeannette Greene, commanding officer of the USCG Mackinaw, reacts to seeing some friends in the crowd waiting to greet the cutter after the Parade of Ships on July 31, 2023. The Mackinaw is on public tour during the ten-day festival along with two other cutters, the Katmai Bay and Bristol Bay. The festival, held every year in Grand Haven, draws more than 300,000 spectators to celebrate the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard. Image by Vicki Huffman, USCGAUX
