About 200 Defense Supply Center Columbus associates and children from the DSCC Child Development Center participated in the Defense Logistics Agency Police Department’s second annual National Night Out at Noon event Aug. 1 at DSCC’s Mission Park. The children were given junior DLA Police badges, played in a bouncy house provided by DSCC Morale, Welfare and Recreation staff, danced to music and enjoyed a lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs and snacks. The event, modeled after National Night Out, is an annual campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
