DAFF inspections manage biological security risks to Australia by preventing foreign food, insects, plants, seeds, and soils from entering the country. Australia and the United States work together to sustain a stable security environment and regional order rooted in economic openness, respect for international norms, standards, rules and laws, peaceful resolution of disputes, and respect for universal rights and freedoms. Talisman Sabre is the largest bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns.
