Pararescuemen assigned to the 308th Rescue Squadron conduct a maritime combat search and rescue exercise within a rigged alternate method boat as an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft circles above nearby Patrick Space Force Base, Florida, July 25, 2023. The 308th RQS trains and maintains the Air Forces dedicated rescue capability for Department of Defense personnel, in support of Combatant Commander’s wartime objectives. Air Force Pararescuemen are the only DoD elite combat forces specifically organized, trained, equipped and postured to conduct full spectrum Personnel Recovery to include both conventional and unconventional combat rescue operations.
