SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, May 17, 2020 -The government of Puerto Rico made a significant allocation of $5.4 million aimed at the restoration of facilities that belong to the Mental Health and Addiction Services Administration (ASSMCA). This allocation was a crucial step in addressing the pressing issues faced by ASSMCA, which is responsible for providing essential mental health and addiction services to the people of Puerto Rico.
The funding was primarily directed towards repairing and renovating existing facilities that may have suffered from wear and tear, damage caused by natural disasters, or simply needed improvements to better serve the community. These facilities are vital in providing a wide range of mental health services, including counseling, therapy, psychiatric care, addiction treatment, and support services to individuals facing mental health challenges and substance abuse issues.FEMA/Eduardo Martinez
