Eddie Earwood, USDA Wildlife Biologist with NAS Kingsville, stands in front of the first avian radar utilized by Training Air Wing Two (TW2) to detect and predict paths of bird movement and migration patterns. Data collected from this device shaped flight operations to be safer for all who fly. TW2 now utilizes a modern, 3D avian radar, which extends the systems monitored range from four-nautical-miles to eight-nautical miles. (U.S. Navy photo by Anne Owens/Released)
