Michael Talley, Commanding General, United States Army Medical Center of Excellence and Chief of the United States Army Medical Service Corps, Capt. Elizabeth Smith, Expeditionary Medical Facility 150 Alpha's Commanding Officer, and Vice Adm. Michael Boyle, Commander, THIRD Fleet, receive plaques for their contributions as key speakers during the annual Southern California Medical Service Corps Symposium at the Veteran's Association of North County Resource Center Aug. 3. The SoCal MSC Symposium offers an opportunity to hear key speakers on leadership, mentorship, and career building as topics are discussed in an ever-changing environment. The theme of this year's symposium is "MSC Past, Present, Future" and highlights the accomplishments that the MSC has achieved over the past 76 tears. NMRTC San Diego's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMRTC San Diego employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
