U.S. Army Engineers with the 11th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, ROK-US Combined Division, continued their flood damage recovery efforts alongside their Republic of Korea Army counterparts in Yecheon, Korea, Aug. 1, 2023.
The combined effort came after the small area was ravished by unrelenting rains and landslides which threatened the livelihood of the local Korean people who rely heavily on their apple crops for income. By securing vital infrastructure and clearing the way for ROK Army and government aid, the 2ID Soldiers helped bring peace to a community mourning the loss of 5 of their own during the natural disaster. We Go Together has become a staple for the ROK-US alliance and was repeated throughout the combined effort.
