Colonel Michael L. Scalise, commanding officer of Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, shakes hands with Kristopher Lautug, a firefighter and paramedic aboard MCLB Barstow, during the Quarterly Awards Breakfast held Dec. 5 at the Maj. Gen. James L. Day Conference Center aboard the base. Members of the base fire and emergency services were commended for their efforts which resulted in the resuscitation of a patron of the base golf course who stopped breathing.
