U.S. Army Cadets come to attention for Col. Buddy Ferris, deputy commander of 4th Infantry Division, as he leaves the room at the end of a talk led by himself and Command Sgt. Maj. Kenneth Chaney, also with 4th Infantry Division, August 3, 2023 at Fort Carson, Colorado. Ferris continued taking Cadets’ questions at length, providing them with the benefit of his experience as part of Cadet Troop Leader Training, a chance for Cadets to gain leadership experience and learn about the active-duty Army.
