Members of Brooke Army Medical Center’s Facilities team host attendees of the American Society for Health Care Engineering Annual Conference and Technical Exhibition to highlight tools and techniques for reliability-centered maintenance at BAMC, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, Aug. 6. RCM is a proactive effort that involves identifying critical functions and failures and applying maintenance strategies to prevent them. This enables real-time preventive maintenance, which eliminates potentially catastrophic failures of the hospital’s energy production and HVAC systems. Participants were shown techniques necessary to help them develop their own successful RCM programs. (DoD photo by Jason W. Edwards)
