CW3 Michael Falk, maintenance test pilot, and CW3 Shawn Hill, standardization instructor pilot, pass on some wisdom to WO1 George Wright and WO1 Oscar Romeo who are at Fort Novosel learning to fly the Black Hawk. They are at a Black Hawk helicopter, one of many displays and booths at The Landing on Fort Novosel, AL, for Aviation Industry Days August 9, 2023. CW3 Hill says he has never regretted switching from infantry to Black Hawk pilot, “The mission set is so broad; you could be doing VIP missions with one unit and MEDEVAC with another. You could go to an air assault unit and could be doing everything from in-filling Soldiers for missions, to Bambi Buckets to help put out fires. There are just so many mission sets available that you never get bored.” Photo by Jay Mann.
