California-based U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Kaden Zimmerman, with Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, creates a concealed position for night defense during defensive tactics training, Aug. 6, 2023, at the Base Expedicionaria de Fuzileiros Navais in Formosa, Brazil, during the Corpo de Fuzileiros Navais’ (Brazilian Marine Corps’) annual Infantry Training Exercise Formosa. Exercise Formosa offers a platform for the armed forces of multiple nations to enhance their interoperability, conduct joint military operations, and exchange insights on tactics and strategies.
