U.S. Army Brig. Gen Maurice Barnett, 10th AAMDC commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. Kellen Rowley, 10th AAMDC command sergeant major, attended the Space and Missile Defense Symposium Aug. 8-10 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Ala. The symposium is a three day event that is the leading educational, professional, development and networking event in the space and missile defense community. On the last day of the event, Barnett spoke during the Regional Warfighter Panel with AAMDC commanders. Barnett discussed current mission operations, capabilities, modernization, interoperability, and challenges that are unique to our theater. During the panel, a video was played of our Ukraine Partners successfully taking down a threat with our donated air defense system. Even with obstacles such as time, language barrier, etc. our team was able to train the Ukrainian soldiers in Europe on the air defense systems (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Yesenia Cadavid)
